Trinity Railway Express

Pavlik and Associates staff functioned as the key public affairs strategist for the Trinity Railway Express in Tarrant County from 1994 through 2002. We identified the leaderships in the various communities and special interest groups and worked to build consensus for the project and support for funding including interfacing with elected officials, municipal and agency staffs, project advocates and opponents to build consensus for issues both big and small. Texas Association of Builders

In unprecedented action, the membership of the Texas Association of Builders—both volume and custom builders, subcontractors, suppliers and providers of professional services—came together to fund the Building Standards Task Force.  The goals of the Task Force were (1) to create a mechanism wherein both the consumer and the homebuilder are treated fairly to resolve differences through an equitable dispute resolution process rather than be tied up in costly litigation for years; and (2) to create residential building guidelines for the State of Texas without putting in place more governmental red tape that results in bureaucratic boondoggles. North Texas Municipal Water District

Under tremendous pressure to expand the region’s infrastructure to support unprecedented growth, the North Texas Municipal Water District in the mid 90s embarked on a 10-year process to permit a new regional solid waste disposal facility to serve the growing cities of Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Richardson, as well as other smaller communities and private haulers. Business Leaders' Council of Denton County

Pavlik and Associates was retained in 1996 to develop a private sector initiative to support the economic development activities in Denton County under the leadership of former Denton County Judge Jeff Moseley, now the Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development and Tourism Office of the Governor. Pavlik was charged with developing a model for such an organization, testing its validity in the community, kicking-off the program and continuing to serve as its strategic planner and program coordinator. Fort Worth Police Officers' Award Foundation

Founding contributor and charter board chairman Edd Lott retained Linda Pavlik to develop a public relations, education and solicitation program around his concept of a nonprofit foundation to recognize and award excellence on the part of police officers. Working with the legal and accounting team which chartered the nonprofit organization, Pavlik designed a program whereby the Foundation was funded, criteria for awards were established and a community awareness program was developed for this unique concept which has become a model for similar endeavors nationwide. Libraryfest

Pavlik and Associates is responsible for the external communications components of Libraryfest on an annual basis. Libraryfest is a free family-oriented festival that showcases the library annually in a new and exciting way. The mission of Libraryfest is to build awareness of the many educational and cultural services of the Fort Worth Public Library in a way that generates enthusiasm for reading and learning.
