Fort Worth Police Foundation

For more than 30 years, Pavlik and Associates partnered with Fort Worth Police Foundation (formerly Fort Worth Police Officers’ Award Foundation) and the Fort Worth Police Department to elevate public understanding, appreciation, and support for law enforcement. From the Foundation’s inception in 1980, we helped shape its identity, grow its impact, and strengthen its connection to the Fort Worth community. 

The Challenge

As the Foundation evolved, so did the need to modernize its messaging, broaden public engagement, and build trust during periods when law enforcement faced increased public scrutiny. Our goal was to communicate the heart of the profession—service, sacrifice, and community protection—while helping the Foundation grow its visibility, fundraising capacity, and civic partnerships.

Our Approach 

Our work spanned every aspect of communications strategy, branding, and outreach, including: 

  • Designing the Foundation’s original public education and awareness programs, creating a national model 

  • Refreshing the brand identity with a new logo and visual style that projected professionalism and tradition 

  • Launching a membership and fundraising campaign to deepen community investment 

  • Producing a series of award-winning videos—including The Call is Given, The Best, and An Unparalleled Partnership—that elevated recruitment and public relations at a time when community-police relationships were strained 

  • Intentionally crafting messaging to help humanize officers, share authentic stories, and shift public perception 

  • Building collaboration between Foundation leadership, police command staff, and rank-and-file officers 

  • Managing public relations, developing marketing collateral, and enhancing digital and social presence

Our long-standing partnership gave us a deep understanding of police culture—its values, internal dynamics, and community role. That insight allowed us to develop authentic messaging that uplifted officers while forging stronger community connections. We helped bridge gaps between perception and reality, creating space for dialogue, appreciation, and lasting partnerships.

Though our engagement with the Foundation has concluded, Pavlik and Associates is proud to have laid the groundwork for its continued success. Through decades of strategic support and cultural insight, we helped FWPOAF grow into a respected and community-anchored organization—one that continues to honor the profession and foster public trust.
