
Jim Lattimore

Jim Lattimore supports the Pavlik and Associates team in strategic initiatives involving land use, conservation, and environmental policies. He is an environmental and logistics expert who has logged nearly 6,000 hours as a commercial pilot in command.

In the 1970s he worked as a Project Engineer for LTV in flight control systems. In 2017, Jim received the Federal Aviation Administration Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for 50 years of flying without incidents. He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. His master’s thesis, “Deep Space Guidance Mission” was published through a fellowship by NASA.
Over a 30-year period, Jim held a top management position in the solid waste, recycling, and environmental services industries. One of his primary responsibilities was the permitting of disposal and recycling facilities.
In 2017, Texas Governor Greg Abbott appointed Jim to the Brazos River Authority Board of Directors. He also is active on the McDonald Observatory’s Board of Visitors. He has served on the Dean’s Advisory Council, Science Department and the Advisory Council, Environmental Science Department, both at the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been a member of the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ Solid Waste Advisory Council and Resource Conservation Council. As a U.S. Army Captain, Jim served in unit commander, staff officer, and instructor posts.
