STAR Transit

Graphic Design, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Strategy
2015–Present

Client: STAR Transit

Background Info

STAR Transit is a regional public transportation provider serving Kaufman County, Rockwall County, and southeast Dallas County, including Mesquite, Balch Springs, Seagoville, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Duncanville. The agency delivers more than 215,000 rides annually, helping riders 65 and older, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and working families access jobs, education, healthcare, and essential services.

Since 2015, Pavlik and Associates has partnered with STAR Transit in strategic communications. Our work supports every aspect of the agency’s growth—from rebranding and rider outreach to new service launches and stakeholder alignment.

The Challenge

As STAR Transit expands into new markets and introduces flexible, on-demand services, communications must keep pace. Each launch, each route, and each community requires a tailored strategy—one that speaks directly to local needs while reinforcing the agency’s regional brand.

Growth moves fast. Pavlik ensures the message keeps up.

That means:

  • Introducing new services with clarity and consistency

  • Building trust and recognition across diverse communities

  • Aligning stakeholders and partners around shared priorities

  • Driving adoption through creative, locally resonant campaigns

  • Keeping riders informed and engaged through ongoing change

Our Approach

Pavlik works closely with STAR Transit leadership to deliver responsive, community-specific communications backed by a cohesive regional voice.

We help shape and launch new services like Route 101 and STARNow zones through messaging, branding, press strategy, and stakeholder coordination. Our team plans ribbon cuttings, produces creative content, and drives outreach through social, print, and earned media.

With every initiative, we ensure that STAR Transit remains visible, trusted, and connected to the people and communities it serves.

The Impact

  • Expanded Service Awareness: Successfully supported the launch of STARNow on-demand service zones in Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Kaufman, Forney, and others

  • Ridership Growth: Promoted high-use routes like 401 and 101 through targeted campaigns and community events

  • Award-Winning Campaigns:
